Data sources
Nomavibe shows places suggested by the community and places from open data whose licence allows reuse. Each page states its source. No data is copied from competing apps or websites.

Reliability
These data are maintained by their producers, not by Nomavibe: they may be outdated or incomplete. They are marked “not checked” and refreshed at most every 30 days. Water is never presented as drinkable on the sole basis of an open source.
OpenStreetMap data (ODbL)
Places from OpenStreetMap, including corrections made on Nomavibe, are made available under the same ODbL 1.0 licence, as it requires. To fix information at the source, use the “Fix it on OpenStreetMap” link on the place page.

What Nomavibe does not use
Reviews, ratings and photos from other services, directories whose licence forbids reuse, and any data obtained by working around terms of use.
Search by town or address
Towns and addresses are found with Nominatim and Photon (data © OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL) and, for French postcodes, the public IGN service (Géoplateforme).
Privacy
To query these services, Nomavibe only sends the category searched and the centre of the area rounded to about 1 km — never your exact position or identity. Answers are cached for 30 days.
